questions<br>
based on my visit to berta site and other berta sites...</p>
<p>i want to build a site that is an artist/image portfolio, linked
to tumblr<br>
and twitter, a paypal shop and has contact capabilities.</p>
<p>Is this possible to do all this with berta?<br>
Is it easy to move from indexhibit for hosting and all existing
site files?<br>
Is it possible to make a splash page that is a gif or animation to
click<br>
to a 'messy' template?<br>
Is it possible to not have berta in my URL?<br>
is there 24 hr tech support for hosting, and CMS?<br>
I have NO EXPERIENCE with coding other than what i struggled to do
on my<br>
own with indexhibit. Is berta the same as indexhibit? simpler?</p>
<p>I am very excited to give my site an injection of new life. Any
info,<br>
tips, guidelines, links you can provide would be great. Thank
you.</p>

<p>Yes, you most certainly can create a porfolio with Berta, link
tumblr to it and add social buttons/feeds to your site, too. To
build an online shop, choose our SHOP hosting plan!</p>
<p>Our templates support background images, background slide
gallery as well as full-width background video, that could serve as
a intro/splash page of your site.<br>
You can, of course, add your own domain name to the page. This
feature is available for all paid customers.</p>
<p>Although we don't offer 24/7 customer support yet, but we are
here to answer all your questions as soon as we can - mostly within
24 hours!</p>
<p>We will be glad to see you joining Berta family. We built Berta
to be simple and flexible, so that no coding skills would be
required.</p>
<p>You're welcome to try our 30-days free trial, to check
everything out and get familiar with Berta!</p>

<p>thank you</p>

unfortunately it's no possible. Indexhibit and Berta are two
different platforms with different data structure and storage
system. You will need to create a site in Berta from scratch - but
you can copy/paste text from previous pages. Site creation process
in Berta is simple and fun! :)</p>

<p>in settings>navigation, i turned on show page heading in

<p>Here's a tutorial how to create a splash page: <a href=
"http://support.berta.me/kb/faq/how-to-create-an-introsplash-page">http://support.berta.me/kb/faq/how-to-create-an-introsplash-page</a></p>

<p>The animation i want to use for my splash page is a gif. i've
followed the<br>
steps below and the splash page is active but it is not full
screen. the<br>
jpgs that make up the gif are set at 1280x800 pixels. what do i do
to make<br>
it fit full screen?</p></div>ellentag:support.berta.me,2012-03-15:Comment/316829362014-02-26T08:05:54Z2014-02-26T08:05:54ZMoving over from Indexhibit?<div><p>There are two customized options to achieve similar result:<br>
1) you can set a background gallery with JPG images as they will
rotate as an intro for your page. To make it clickable, you have to
make an entry in the Splash page with text that contains hyperlink
to the inside of your site.<br>
2) you can set a full-screen video from Vimeo, and then do the
steps as in the previous option.</p>
<p>If you have a GIF that is this large, your site might load for a
long time and experience downtime, if the internet connection on
the user end is slow. So we would suggest to reconsider the GIF
option and make a JPG background gallery or place a background
video instead.</p>
<p>Hope, it works out!</p></div>Juritatag:support.berta.me,2012-03-15:Comment/316829362014-02-26T18:06:55Z2014-02-26T18:06:55ZMoving over from Indexhibit?<div><p>i want to achieve the same affect for a splash page as this site

<p>I am sorry to add a little question related to your great
website. You managed to make a double language EN-GER website. It
looks like without using subdomains ? Do you mind sharing to Berta
community how you did it ?</p>
<p>Thanks !</p></div>fab.martag:support.berta.me,2012-03-15:Comment/316829362014-02-27T11:15:38Z2014-02-28T08:20:18ZMoving over from Indexhibit?<div><p>Ellen,<br>
the site you gave as an example consists of two actual bertas: the
splash page is one berta (it has GIF as a background animation
which you can set in Template Settings / Background / Background
image). Splash page has entry "Start" that contains a hyperlink to
other berta, that has all the content. This is, of course, one way
to go.</p>
<p>To make it easier for you, set your GIF as a background image.
When it's done, we from our admin sides will add a JavaScript that
will show your background animation in the splash page only.</p>
<p>Tell us, when it's ready, so that we can edit the site
later!</p></div>Juritatag:support.berta.me,2012-03-15:Comment/316829362014-02-27T17:54:38Z2014-02-27T17:54:38ZMoving over from Indexhibit?<div><p>i want to achieve the same affect for a splash page as this site

<p>ellen</p></div>ellentag:support.berta.me,2012-03-15:Comment/316829362014-02-28T10:08:27Z2014-02-28T10:08:27ZMoving over from Indexhibit?<div><p>As I explained before, first you have to set up a background
image for your berta. To do that, follow this tutorial: <a href=
"http://support.berta.me/kb/faq/how-to-add-background-image">http://support.berta.me/kb/faq/how-to-add-background-image</a></p>
<p>To make a START button and to hide the header and menu from your
first page, look up these instructions: <a href=
"http://support.berta.me/kb/faq/how-to-create-an-introsplash-page">http://support.berta.me/kb/faq/how-to-create-an-introsplash-page</a></p>
<p>As the background image will still appear throughout the whole
site, after you've set the image, let us know that and we will edit
the code of your site manually to set up the background image for
Splash page only, so that the rest of your site will be clear.</p>
<p>Let me know, how it goes!</p></div>Jurita
